GIIS KL proudly hosted the Malaysia–India Cultural Exchange Programme 2026 in collaboration with RPS International School, Sector 50, Gurugram, Delhi, India. Held in the school auditorium on Monday, 28th September 2026, the vibrant event brought together students from Years 5, 7, and 11 for an unforgettable morning dedicated to fostering cross-cultural understanding, lasting friendship, and global citizenship.

The event commenced with dynamic cultural presentations and dance performances that highlighted the rich heritage and traditions of both nations. Students actively engaged in interactive Cultural Connection Games, creating an atmosphere of lively learning and mutual appreciation. A key highlight of the morning was the hands-on "Plant Your Destination" activity, which brought students together to plant trees and leave personal messages, promoting teamwork, environmental awareness, and sustainability.

Through these shared experiences, students exchanged unique perspectives, developed critical interpersonal skills, and deepened their appreciation for cultural diversity. The programme seamlessly aligned with key 9 Gems framework pillars, including Visual and Performing Arts (Gem 3), Personality Development (Gem 4), Entrepreneurship & Leadership (Gem 6), Universal Values and Ethics (Gem 7), Community and Care (Gem 8), and Skill Development (Gem 9). Furthermore, it embodied the spirit of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals by promoting Quality Education (SDG 4), Reduced Inequalities (SDG 10), Responsible Consumption and Production (SDG 12), and Partnerships for the Goals (SDG 17).
